Climate System Dynamics Lab
The Climate System Dynamics Lab investigates the physical mechanisms of climate variability and change, with a focus on the atmosphere, ocean, and their interactions. We use observations, theory, and climate models to improve our understanding and prediction of the changing climate system. In particular, we study the mechanisms and changing characteristics of large-scale climate variability, including El Niño and La Niña, their impacts on global climate, and how they may change under global warming.
